I see I have an enormous uptick in visitors today thanks to the mention by my friend Katie Allison Granju in her awesome blog. So let’s introduce ourselves in the comments below–I’ll start! Let me know who you are, how you got here, what you look for in the blogs you read, how many kids you have . . . anything you would like to share. And if you liked what you read (or not!) you can tell me that as well.

So, I’m Leslie, writer of this blog. I live in Knoxville, Tennessee, where I was born, and wouldn’t want to live anywhere else. I’ve been married to John for twenty years and we have five children aged 5, 9, 15, 16, and 19. I don’t have a huge amount of time for blog reading, but I have a shortlist I check in with often: Katie’s eclectic mamapundit is one I read every day, along with her Babble blog. I like blogs on parenting, unschooling, and Catholicism. Or sometimes I will just start reading a random blog and get hooked! Who’s next?

Since I’m just getting started, I haven’t even thought about ads. I’m writing because I like to write and I have things to say. If I ever have enough traffic that I think would generate any income, I might consider ads, but I think that’s probably a long way off! Thank you for visiting and for commenting. I will definitely visit your blog and I hope to see you again here!
I found you through Katie’s blog. I have two kids under the age of 3, and I’m starting to look into schooling options. I am seriously considering homeschool, so I was particularly interested in your posts about homework and kindergarten.
Thank you for visiting! I hope you will come back because I will be writing a lot more on those topics. I’ve homeschooled three of my kids for some grades, so I have plenty to share about that.
