So, I’ve been told by at least one reader that y’all don’t like it when I post reviews.  And I get that I’ve posted more reviews lately and less non-branded content.  That’s because when someone provides a product for me, I really have to follow through and tell you what I thought of it!  There’s only internal pressure for me to share my brilliant original ideas. 🙂  And never, ever enough time.

Yes, this is a review.  For sunglasses!  And before you tell me it’s the wrong season for reviewing sunglasses, let me just say that I’ve been using mine more than ever lately.  The afternoon autumn sun is absolutely blinding right now.

LotFancy is a San Francisco-based company founded in 1999, and they offer a lot more than just sunglasses.  They sell everything from high-tech products to kids’ items, all of it on Amazon.

I was especially excited to review these sunglasses because this is the first time that a company reached out to me with an offer for a product in exchange for a review.  That was pretty exciting.  I got to choose three pairs–two for me and one I gave John to try out. Here are links to the ones we tried:

Ladies’ White Sunglasses

Men’s Aviator Sunglasses

My glasses were mailed to me directly from the company, so I can’t personally speak to the level of customer service one would receive by ordering through Amazon, but the customer ratings and reviews seem to speak for themselves–the company has a close to 100% positive rating.

What I can speak to is the quality of the glasses themselves.  I was very pleased, and so was John.  These are well-made, attractive sunglasses and they don’t cost much.  At these prices you can afford to have more than one pair, so I was able to be a little frivolous and try some styles I might not go for normally, which was fun.  The case they come with is really high quality.  If you are conscientious about putting them away after wearing them they are going to last forever.  I have one complaint only.  The pair of sunglasses I already had are kind of rounded in such a way that they go all the way around the sides of my eyes.  I’m not explaining this very well but these glasses aren’t made that way so sun can come in at you sideways–not a lot, but that is a disadvantage to these compared to my others.

However, one thing I like better about these is that the lenses protected my eyes from the sun while not distorting the colors of the real world as much as some other pairs.  I don’t like the brown or greenish cast some of my past pairs have had and these don’t do that.

Oh my gosh, y’all.  You have to have pictures for a review, right?  Don’t laugh at these.  I know they are not the most professional thing I have ever done but I think they show off the sunglasses well.

So there you have it!  If you are looking for some cute and reasonably-priced sunglasses, I can recommend LotFancy.  And although I was provided three pairs to review for free, that is my honest opinion.
