Maybe some of y'all are experiencing this for the first time!When I saw this I laughed because well... there’s an element of truth to it, right? What homeschool mom here has NOT had one or *those* days?
Yesterday, was one of them for us!
Of of my sweet sons, who shall remain nameless, had quite the day. The whining. The moaning. Carrying on and on and on...school felt like it would never end (for me!)
It wasn’t fun. It wasn’t easy. But we don’t homeschool because it’s fun or easy do we?
We homeschool our kids because we are called to. Homeschooling gives us the unique opportunity to have them near us day in and day out, giving us a chance to speak into their lives and disciple them.
And you know what happened after that rough day of school?
That evening we laid in bed and read the Bible and a short devotional. We had the opportunity to talk about sin and repentance. It gave us an opportunity to discuss how we all struggle with sin and NEED Jesus. Not just whiney kids...but impatient mamas too! We had the opportunity to pray and admit our great need for a savior and ask the Holy Spirit to help us.
No, it’s not always fun or easy. But blessings flow from the hard messy moments as we disciple our kids and learn even more about our need for a savior. ...
